WHY → HOW → WHAT

Every organisation has processes.
Excellent organisations keep questioning them.

?Are we achieving what we intended?
?Are customers receiving real value?
?Are our processes aligned with strategy?
EFQM

A structured way to ask better questions, understand performance and continuously improve.

?Are people working across silos?
?Can we adapt when circumstances change?
?Are today's improvements sustainable tomorrow?
Overview

What is EFQM Process Excellence?

EFQM provides organisations with a holistic framework for understanding how Purpose, Strategy, Culture, Stakeholders, Performance and Results work together.

It enables organisations to examine not only “What are we doing?” but also:

Why are we doing it?How effectively are we doing it?What results are we achieving? What should we improve next?
01Why?

Direction

  • Why does the organisation exist?
  • What purpose does it fulfil?
  • Where does it want to go?
02How?

Execution

  • How will Purpose and Strategy be converted into action?
  • How are stakeholders engaged?
  • How is sustainable value created?
03What?

Results

  • What has actually been achieved?
  • What evidence demonstrates success?
  • What should tomorrow's performance look like?

↺ A continuous loop of direction, execution and results

Real-world problem solving

From a problem
to an excellent process.

EFQM does not begin with “What procedure should we write?” It begins with: “What result are we trying to achieve?”

01
Step 01

Define the result

What outcome must improve?

02
Step 02

Understand the current state

What is happening today? Where are the gaps? What evidence supports this?

03
Step 03

Design the approach

What method will achieve the required result?

04
Step 04

Deploy

Where must the approach operate? Who needs to participate?

05
Step 05

Measure

Is the approach actually delivering the expected outcome?

06
Step 06

Assess

What worked? What did not?

07
Step 07

Refine

What should be changed, strengthened or scaled?

08
Step 08

Repeat

Turn improvement into organisational habit.

The centrepiece

Meet RADAR

A practical discipline for turning ambition into measurable improvement.

Results

Define the outcomes the organisation intends to achieve.

“What does success actually look like?”

RESULTS→APPROACH→DEPLOY→ASSESS→REFINE↺

Excellence is not a destination.
It is a disciplined cycle.
